I'm not hearing any timeline from my LBS on my April pre-order. Anyone looking at suitable alternatives? There aren't too many Avinox <50lb 150-160mm travel options in the US.

The PX is currently trickling out to the European market. I am certain I will see Sasquach before the bike in the wild.

From Amflow chat today.

Hello, do you have any updates on the PX shipping to the United States?

Hi there, regarding the PX in US now, we sincerely sorry as the stock is still not replenished.
Will need to wait till Aug.

Hi there, base on the info we have now. We think yes the dealers in NA region will receive the bike in Aug, might be in late july.

The team did not give us any info regarding the ETA.

With USA and Canadian bike supplies, there is the issue of does Amflow have bikes to ship, but there is also the issue of who is distributing them once they arrive. The Canadian distributors of Amflow (DIAN Motors) broke up with the brand due to some dispute over their business terms (https://www.emtbforums.com/threads/amflow-canada.47363/), and there was some suggestion of difficulties with the USA distributor. Does anyone know the status of who is responsible for distributing Amflows in the USA and Canada now?

From a very reliable source. I hear mid-July. So, either next week or the week after. This is if you are in the first wave from early shop orders.

I want to believe this.

My LBS is also saying mid-July for my first-wave pre-order in April. However, that is what they were told by Amflow 1 month ago. And they haven't heard any substantial updates since. I'm just a consumer, but I might have thought shops would hear more if bikes really were that close to landing.

We get too much deeper into summer and the value of getting the bike at all really starts to drop for me.

5 friends a I, pay in full px carbons.
No answers from anyone. I it's very fucked up to see pivots with MS2 engines at the store. We are 🤏 close to cancel all orders and buy pivots even if they are more expensive. IF WE DON'T HAVE DATES OR COMMUNICATION OF AMFLOW BY THIS WEEK!
Beside the delay problem and that it's summer. It's very fucked up the lack of communication. I have been in China and it's awesome but this guy's don't help themself out to change the Chinese perception of people here in the US

🤷🤷🤷

agreed. People understand delays, but total lack of communication is not a good business strategy. at least not for the US market.

Kind of a little off topic considering I'm not one who believes Avinox = DJI, but theres all sorts of talk on the DJI subreddit about the trouble DJI is in here. People are saying that they tried to utilize a workaround to distribute DJI cameras in the US despite their ban, and now they're in legal trouble. I didn't dig into the topic but was thinking about Avinox failing to deliver motors and thought perhaps DJI isn't as capable of a company as I assumed they were.

My local dealer in Sydney had store stock of the PX when I went in on the weekend. He was trying to get me to buy one. Said I could walk out of the shop with it.

So I'm thinking the issue Amflow is having, is regional to the US, and perhaps an alternative should be looked at. Those being the Pivot, Forbidden, or Mondraker. Yes they are more expensive. But that is the landscape.

My dealer also had store stock of the Pivot Amp'd, Mondraker Zendit, and Velduro. I was surprised how many Avinox M2S motored EMTBs that were walk-in/walk-out ready.

For me is the lack of communication it's the problem. It's incredible how the went dark and everybody waiting and losing the summer.

Lack of communication normally just means they only have bad news. My dealer is supposed to get back to me about my Amflow PL Carbon Pro screen by today. The screen went black, but the bike works fine. But he needed the whole bike to organise the warranty.

It would be nice if they communicated when they said they would. If I don't hear from him. I know it's not good news, as the Amflow Australia website is showing no stock of the screen. Thankfully I have a spare M2S Enduro EMTB. So as long as the bike gets fixed in a reasonable time. I won't lose sleep.

I had a spare EMTB when I ordered my Amflow 18 months ago. It took 8 weeks longer to arrive than stated. It was frustrating. But having the spare, the wait was worth it. It is a great bike.

As riding each weekend with my friends is so important to me. I will always run a spare EMTB. If you do want to wait for the Amflow, maybe a cheap spare is an option. The new bikes can breakdown, and it may take some time to get spares for Amflow in the US.

I wish I had the hardships that of a company having possibly the highest demand in a product category needing to supply nearly every entire global market with a fresh off the press design .

My guess is that the Amflow PX and PR may be delayed due to regional rollout strategies and regulatory differences, I understand that they prioritized initial availability for Europe and Australia first. Additionally, the power of the Avinox M2S motor requires different configuration adjustments and certifications to align with US e bike class regulations compared to EU standards.

I just read a forum in FB. this dude call China and they told him September.
WTF!

Why this company amflow treat the US market like that?
Not a simple statement.!

I have wrote them in FB, INSTAGRAM, EMAIL AND NIT A SINGLE ANSWER.

Not saying this is the issue. But you currently don't have a great trade relationship with China. Certification issues as well. Meanwhile, Australia have a Free Trade Agreement with China, negotiated by our Govt. The result is China is our biggest trading partner by a huge margin.

The easier it is to trade and sell product. The better profit margins for the Chinese companies. So Chinese companies will service first, those regions where profit is easiest. That is the capitalist way ...... :giggle: That ends with dealers currently having unsold stock of the PX in Australia. But the dealers did buy the stock. So Amflow got paid.

That said. The US is an important market to them. So I hope you get looked after quickly. I was also frustrated with delays when I bought my PL. So I know the feeling. (y)

I am inclined to give some significance to the following comment

@Astro66

Lets not derail the thread with trade negotiations, but. I define (ChAFTA) as great. I understand that your view may be different. But I enjoy a much higher standard of living, because of the trading and buying power this agreement gives me.

The impact with regards to this thread, is I can walk into my local Amflow dealer right now and ride home with an Amflow PX. I also think that's great. ;)

I'm inclined to agree. The significance, IMO, is why is this happening, when international Amflow dealers have store stock, and are very keen to talk to potential customers ?

It's a pretty common phrasing. Basically just means "I don't want to work with you any more"
My point is you're framing it as Amflow's choice. We don't know that was the case. Could very well have been the distributor who "fired" Amflow. I might even argue it's more likely the distributor is who did the firing. Thats why I think when you don't know what happened; it's more appropriate to use a neutral phrase like they "split" or "terminated their relationship." A good example is that you wouldn't say your friend fired their significant other. They split up.

Gonna be August now…import handler got fired (similar to Canada).
What's actually documented is that Amflow and their Canadian distributor, Dian Motors, split ways, Amflow's own statement reassured customers that Canada remains a key market and that dealers would continue to receive sales, technical, and parts support.

Before running with the USA claims, it would be helpful if a source confirmed a specific person or ("import handler") being fired.

So in the mean time all we can do is post memes about rattles to distract from the long wait :)
