Ok, so I’ll stop bothering you all with questions soon. It’s a tough decision what bike to buy though and I seem pretty limited, not just by budget but by size/fit (5ft3 woman)

One option is the Haibike Hardseven 5. But I read bad things about the chain coming off a lot, over even a bit of rough terrain. I will be riding rough off road and blue trails. I asked a bike shop who said it’s because of the budget drivetrain and not having a clutch mechanism. They said it can be upgraded for about £200. Has anyone done this? Is it worth it?

Clutch mechs are infinitely better for chain retention, compared to non-clutch types. You can also buy after-market chain retention devices and may be able to find one to fit your frame/chainring/motor.
