Tyres: tread and width questions.

Learned ladies and gents, help me out here. My MY 20 Turbo Levo SW is specced on the Spesh site with Butcher 2,6‘s in the front and Eliminator 2,3’s in the rear. Washing the bike today I noticed that I have Eliminator 2,6‘s fitted at the back - not spec for my bike. My questions to you are: 1. Should I raise this issue at the place I bought the bike, requesting the correct equipment? 2. Is there any noticeable performance difference that might warrant me asking for the correct spec tyres? (I ride in the French Alps and for the next 5 months it‘s quite muddy and wet). 3. How does the width of the tyre affect performance in dry vs wet conditions? And finally 4. Do you guys run with narrower tyres at the back? Thanks for helping this newbie out! Mike.

I can only answer to question nr. 1: all 2020 Levos come with 2.6" rear tire ...

2.3 is a typo on their website. The correct tyre for all Levos is 2.6

If so then saves a bit of decision making on my part heh heh!

To avoid rumor/hearsay/opinion contacted Specialized directly. They concede that “we assume there was a mistake on the production side”. So 2,3 width rear tire not a typo. It’s the factory spec for my bike MY2020. This is according to Specialized, and they advise me to have it rectified under warranty by the shop. Sorted.

there are going to be a huge number of warranty claims then....every single 2020 Levo I have seen in the lbs has 2.6 rear tyre.

I was searching for some info and ran across this thread....

FYI....my 2020 Levo Comp came with a 2.3 Eliminator on the rear. USA spec bike.

Oh....and mine has a tire, not a tyre....

Not strictly true mate, my Mrs 2020 levo has 2.3 on the rear and its a UK model

It turns out that Levos in EU all came with 2,6 while US versions came with 2.3, I wonder why...
