Hi everyone.
I’m on my 2nd motor with about 2k on it. In turbo mode for extended period going uphill the motor surges. Seems to be only turbo mode. This gets progressively worse and then the bike just turns itself off. There is no error code. I have cleaned all contacts and replaced the speed sensor and magnet- but the problem is still happening.

My next stage is to send off the motor but was wondering if anyone else has experienced this? Could it be the torque sensor (wherever that is) or the TCU.

Thanks for any help.

Thank you. I did replace that when they did a recall. Maybe it’s gone again. Is the fail visible ?

mine was cutting out so just replaced it with my spear one and it sorted it are gen3 just had a TCU and mode controller put on but that was throwing up a code but again I had spear parts

Hmm. Okay thanks. I’ll try the cable. It’s weird how it’s just in turbo mode and after a long climb.

I had run on irrespective of mode on a gen 3. Clutch sprag bearings were on the way out. Motor repair shop in Fordingbridge UK sorted it and serviced now running like silk

Hello mtb'ers
My wife's Levo was doing the same thing surging
Took the bike to my local Specialized shop and they found that a few of the battery's were issue.
$495.00 later everything is good now.
Specialized has/had a program where they will exchange the battery for the $495.00 instead of the $900.00 and they keep the old battery

Hope this helps ?
Cheers
