Hi, anyone tested the new Tro evo pro? I have issues getting them to work. I’ve bleed them several times, tried piston massage etc, but I can’t get a thight feeling of the level. It bottoms out towards the handlebar quite easy ules the reach is adjusted all the way out and the pad activation dial all the way in.. I can’t believe it should be like that, because the brake won’t work unless the adjustments har set to the end positions.

Just installed a set. Work well in terms of stopping power but have found them noisy. When they get hot there is a noticable noise / vibration from pad / rotor. Re-bled, re-centered, massaged pistons... same thing occuring. I'm running the blue resin pads and race discs/

I'm running the same pads and rotors, but on DH-R's. They were noisy as you described, and gave a little bit of vibration feedback. It was disappointing at first, but I like the way they perform, so I stuck with the setup. After a few hard rides, I noticed that the brakes had quieted down substantially. They still make some noise, but it's not terrible. Interestingly, when I'm riding hard, with a lot of steep and a lot of braking, the pads quiet down to the point of being near-silent. But once I start riding more sensibly and the brakes cool off, the noise returns.

Was chatting to a pro last week with them. He said their mechanic swaps the hoses for Saint hoses. He leaves the brake with the lever strapped to the bar and bleed port open for two hours for the best bleed

Have them for 2 month now, miss my Mavens so much !!
Weird lever ergnomics, limited contact adj,MUCH less powerful than the Maven's I had and will swap them soon.
*90kg rider
**No reliability issues

Seems like I solved my chatter issue. Must have glazed them from a poor bedding. Hit rotors and pads wi5 some sand paper and performed a thorough beddin. 90% resolved

Had them for almost a year;

Not enough power
Unreliable, suddenly got a rear brake that stops working between each trip(no one seem to be able to bleed em), new rotors, pads
Failed catastrophically, screw inside the lever assembly cracked. Had to pay and wait 6weeks for special parts)

What a waste of money. Have the TRP dhr on my enduro bike, same never working rear brake situation there, using same calipers). Lesson learnt, staying away from these frustrating brakes onwards.

Ironic to swap out codes for these.

I'm kind of a phat fudge at 105kg, but how come world cup riders race with them, and both my bikes can't even lock the rear wheel? 🤣
Think I've read that the calipers are prone to leaking oil, so maybe I have a fault caliper in the rear(on both bikes).,

I have a different experience with Evo Pro brakes. I also have TRP 2.3 mm rotors and Galfer purple pads. Good modulation and power. Good adjustments for lever distance and bite point.

And I'm still a full-blooded Shimano man.

Funny we have the exact same setup to the pads :)
I have to agree that the lever feel is way better than the old.
When they both worked, they were consistent, but not enough power for my taste still.
Next up for me would be one of these: Maven, Hope or Hayes Dominion.

I think one thing that kills TRP's for people (especially ones that came from shimano, like myself) is that the power is there, you just gotta grab it. It slowly comes in and ramps up near the end stroke. It takes alot more lever throw than your used to. I think that's why the pro's like them so much because they brake differently than "regular" riders. They brake VERY hard for a VERY short time period.

It took me almost a year to figure it out. Then I got back on a Shimano bike for a while and went back to TRP's and about died! Its so different I've swapped all the bikes over to TRP's.
