Does anyone know why some models of the new Trek Rail seem to come with the older looking Bosch display? At least looking at the bikes on the North American site some models show the newest display that is separate from the mode buttons located near the left grip whereas some models show the older style display where the display and mode buttons are all in one located at the left grip. Is this an optional thing?

Thanks.

Price. The cheaper models come with the Purion, the expensive ones use the Kiox.

Thank you. That makes sense. For some reason I was thinking the Kiox display came on all bikes with the latest gen motor. I'm guessing one could purchase it separately if they wished to.

In theory, yes, but I haven’t actually seen it for sale separately yet.
