has anyone got these Trek Rail battery Protection strip and key hole fitted that is selling online do they do the job of keeping water and mud out or are they not needed Trek Rail, Trek Powerfly Electric Bike, Battery Gap Protector strips | eBay

yeah that helps - all he's using is this is something like this for the battery 5M / 10M Rubber Seal Weather Strip Foam Sticky Tape Door Window Draught Excluder | eBay

update i tried that protecter tape ...when i put it on cannot get the battery in to lock it ..taken tape off all goes back in and locks..so does not work for me

This is quite timely as I was about to buy this for my bike as well but I’ll pass if it doesn’t fit
