Trek rail 9.8xt large or Extra Large ? Help please

I’ve found a great deal on a 2021 Rail 9.8xt but I’m struggling to choose the correct size
I’m 6’1 inside leg 35
Any help would be great ..... the shop have advised on xl but I’m worried it will feel a little large and not as fun or responsive but I could be wrong ....
Advise please guys

Am 6'1 but with 31 inside leg and long torso, ride XL.
They aren't ever going to be the most nimble machines (even in small sizes) but does the job perfectly well, if you think it's a bit dead you can always flip the chip and steepen up the head angle, my acoustic Slash feels far more fun in the high setting.
