trek rail 9.8 lights cable

Discovered a cable tucked on my front triangle, cable and connector for lights
want to change brakes and put new shifter hoses, and while doing the new cables want to remove this cable for the lights
is this cable connected directly to motor or battery ?

It’s connected to the motor. You have to drop the back motor cover to get access to the connectors. Not sure if you can get the cable out without dropping the motor itself. Cable channels are very tight and battery plug plate may be in the way.
