Trance E+3 rattle.

I have an irritating rattle on my E+3 it appears to be coming from the front end.

LBS have been very helpful in trying to diagnose the problem, they have stripped and rebuilt the head set and sent the forks away for a complete service/rebuild, neither of which have solved the issue.

Has anybody else experienced similar a similar problem or better still have an answer ?

I have tried riding with the battery removed and it still rattles so it's not that, but it could be the battery locking mechanism.

Any help or sensible ideas would be appreciated.

On my full e , there is a plug between the controller and the rest of the bike that sits inside the frame ( just below the grommet that the cables go through) . Sliding it up / down a bit can induce / remove a rattle. DO NOT wrap it in a rubber case....lets just say a bit of inner tube makes it almost impossible to get out next time....
