My main ride is a 2024 Whyte E160RSX which will cope with any terrain but I recently bought a 2025 ge3 Levo Comp Ally for less demanding country rides. So whilst the Whyte has performance Elite Fox 38 and Fox float, Sram AXS Transmission and Assegai/ DHR 11 tyre combo the Levo Comp is as it came out of the box except for higher rise Deity bars.
I tuned the Levo with 70/100 trail mode and 100/100 turbo. On the country rides I only use trail with very occasional short bursts of turbo. The Whyte is tuned 3/5 on emtb and is the only mode I ever use.
Having done about 150 miles of country rides on the Levo I decided it was time to test it on some more challenging trails in the forest. These trails consist short steep techy climbs and fast gravity runs with berms drops and jumps of varying size etc.
So how did the Levo fare? Pretty good overall! It is a mullet set up and 2kg+ lighter and shorter wheelbase than the Whyte so was predictably more manoeuvrable in the tight twisty tree slalom type sections, coped with the smaller drops and jumps well, and also did well on the techy climbs. It did however need turbo for the climbs and cable gear change meant selecting a lower gear in advance of the climb. I selected only the smaller jumps and climbs because I was using 95% fork and shock travel on those. On more rowdy rooty fast downhill sections the Levo was far more unsettled and at times close to losing control.
By comparison the Whyte just eats up all these trails.
So I now have a pretty clear view of the Levo's limitations....and I am fine with that...horses for courses.
The Levo is in stock configuration and I have no doubt if I set with slacker head angle and equipped it with higher end suspension and better tyres it would be a far more capable bike ( ie as per the more expensive models in the range).
I thought it may help some riders new to emtb to decide which kind of bike at what price best suits them.

The bike comes with adjustable headset cups, so you can get it down to 63.5 head angle
