I‘m new to the world of MTB / EMTBs and as you know supply has been very limited. My first foray into bikes was a Trek Powerfly but is was an XS frame and felt really small after the first week. That Gen 4 Bosch motor was killer though. My LBS allowed me to trade the Trek in for the SC Heckler MX S. Unfortunately, the only size they had was large.
I also tried a Specialized Levo SL comp medium but I definitely want a full power ebike and that Specialized medium frame felt about as big as the Heckler MX large.
The thing I love about the Heckler is the suspension and relatively light weight for a full power ebike. The Orbea Rise would be ideal if the motor could be unlocked to its full torque potential.
Anyway, I’m going to hang on to the Heckler for at least few months as I get acclimated to riding and gradually explore some off road trails. As I get more comfortable off road my concern is that the large Heckler my prove a touch unwieldly for more challenging trails. Therefore, before I decide to trade for another Heckler in medium, what other emtbs I should put on my shortlist.
To the many experienced riders here on this forum, thank you in advance for your insights.
