Hi all,

My 2nd hand Exe came with a spare 360wh TQ battery. Rather than swapping the trek end caps and mounts. I’ll just buy the end caps and handles from trek.

If anyone else has done this does it included the 4 mounting screws per end plus the two for mounting the handle?

Thanks

....well, if you find out, will you let me know? I think I am probably not the only one watching this thread.... I'm in the market for a backup battery instead of a range extender.

I did buy those parts for my spare 360wh battery, but because it was over 2 years ago, I can't quite remember whether they came with all the bolts, my gut feeling is that I had to source the bolts separately, but I can't 100% remember.

You'll find out soon enough! Sorry that I wasn't more helpful.

No problems! Yes I'll find out soon. I believe they don't come with fasteners, but through work we have an account at a fastener supply company so I expect to be able to buy them a LOT cheaper than the $7 NZD a bolt/screw that Trek wants.

I got the 8 M3 x 6 stainless fasteners for the battery endcaps and 2 countersunk M4 x 12 for the handle. All installed and working and fitted perfect.

DO NOT buy these from a Trek Dealer. Find a local fastener supplier, as you can see here Trek wanted $7.99 NZD a piece and I got them for 0.10 cents each. Insane mark up!
