Ticking Bosch Gen4 Motor

I just passed 3000 miles on my Bosch Gen 4 motor and it has been trouble free. I like a quiet bike and recently noticed a ticking sound coming from the motor during hard efforts when the drive side pedal passes the 5 o'clock position. Should I be worried?

Think about it. If it is attributable to a certain pedal position, it's almost sure not a problem of the motor internals. Which is good.

First check if the motor is still properly fixed to the frame via the mounting plates and, far more critical, the mounting plates are still fixed to the motor without play and no screws have come loose.

If that's all good, them look after the crank/chainring etc fixation.

Could be 'ticking' when a bearing on the outer drive side of the motor gets side loaded.
