I'm new to biking and i found this brand, which looks like they are not known as Scott or all the other top brands, but have decent bikes for a good price.

What do you, experienced bikers think about it?routerlogin

I would bought a road one!

Merida (with Giant and Specialised), dominate the eMTB market in Oz. I have a Scott road bike but have yet to see a single Scott eMTB on our trails, although we do have a Scott dealer in our area. See Merida's every week, not including my own.

Out of 100 eMTBs here at least half are Merida's then Giant and the rest of the brands split the last 20%. (Guessed figures based on carpark numbers). Merida aren't unknown. They're the 800lb gorilla of eMTBs here in Oz. There's also a LOT of Merida riders here on the forum so if you do get one there's heaps of advice available if you need it.

And they make a fantastic bike.

p.s. And in road bikes they even sponsor one of the major pro tour teams (Bahrain Merida). So definitely not a lesser brand.
