I absolutely love the Switchgrade on my ebike. The problem is I broke the 1st Gen twice and they replaced it no question. Now Im on the 2nd Gen. The one where you can make it a 2 position or a 3 position. Well I just broke it too!. The tiny bolt head that makes it 2 position broke. Im 195 lbs and I never break parts but I ride a lot. I see there is now a 3rd Gen with infinite positions.

Has anyone else had problems with the Switchgrade?

Has anyone tried the knockoff version by Reverse called the Seatswitch?

Dang. I thought more ebikers used this. I cant live without one. It saves the butt on long steep climbs.

I'm heavier than you and never had a breakage on my EVO (2nd gen), but I removed it several reasons:
- it reduced the amount I could drop the saddle by about 20mm, which hampered descending
- it was hard to switch between positions while riding tech trails (which is when you need it most)
- the positions were too extreme to use on most UK trails (about 10-12 degrees between slots, I think)
- it wasn't compatible with most of my saddles, or it limited the fore/aft position of the saddle too much (e.g. sliding the saddle back prevented the lever from operating, but sliding it forward made it hard to reach the lever)
- i stopped riding an analogue bike (it's less helpful on ebikes as the motor power means you don't need an optimal riding position, and you spend less time climbing)

The Pro (and I think the Reverse Seatswitch) allows 5-6 degree adjustments I think, which is more useful for me. I would consider getting one if I got an analogue bike with a short seat tube, especially if they made a version with a bar-mounted remote and/or improved compatibility with different saddles.
