Rail (625Wh) Super deluxe ultimate damper tune

Hey folks,

recently got a decent deal for a Super Deluxe Ultimate Trek Thru:Shaft damper online.

It has the correct dimensions for my rail (230x57,5), however it being the Slash-specific model it has a different damper tune (m/m whereas Rail uses l/l).

Is the different damper tune something I will notice in practice? Should I get this fixed by sending it to a tuner?

The shock won’t know that it’s on an e-bike. So as long as you don’t tell it, you’ll be fine. I run an off the shelf x2 tune and it works better on my 9.8. Now whether the tune works for your style of riding will be up to you. Most Emtb tunes are too soft imho. Have fun!
