Hello,
I am new to this forum and there may be a relevant thread already, however I did not find any.
I have a 2020 Turbo Levo Comp and have just purchased a set of studded tires for riding on ice and snow. The size is 29 x 2.6 which is standard size.
The actual purchased tyre is: Suomi WXC Piikkisika TR Wire 29 x 2,60". Unfortunately the rear tire did not fit very well. I experienced a slight contact between the studs and the upper rear fork. The contact is minor and only for approx 15 deg if the circumfernce. I applied approx 22 lbs pressure In the tube. I did a little test ride and the photo shows how the studs have made marks in the fork.
As there must be a slight unbalance in the rear tire I did try to change both the tube and tire with the set initially fitted in the front. The problem was slightly improved, but the rubbing is still present.
So has anyone experienced similar issues and what advice can be given?
Can one option be to just use the bake as is and assume that the problem will go away as enough aluminum soon will be expected to be removed by the studs?
Thanks and regards
Egil
