Still having annoying creaking problems

Thanks for sharing. That's more pronounced than mine but it's been progressing pretty fast. Noticed it made sounds even when you weren't pedaling. Was thinking it might be the chain ring lock nut but if not pedaling can't be that or anything with motor or drive line. At least that's my thoughts. Will let you know what I find with the headset? Keep us posted on your efforts.

yeah watching it again now makes me realize it isn’t nearly as bad as it was! Haha. They did make it almost silent for a bit, though.

Wow, I have this! Thought I was going mad but this noise has been present since I took delivery, just not so bad. It's still not as bad the one in the video but it's still really annoying. Quite concerned that nobody has been able to stop it yet.

Some have with a headset grease and reassemble. I may get to that tomorrow but....

Thinking this trough, most of these bikes are pretty new, bearings are installed and might not be fully seated when new or have some amount of play which only becomes noticeable after some use. With the added weight of these bikes everything is compounded. Headsets take a much higher load factor, so does all the suspension joints and front forks. Think these hydro-formed frames can transmit noise to make it sound like one thing but come from something else. Anyway, it's going to be interesting to try and sort these out. Nice if everyone would report any success and keep us up to date. There's no doubt that eMTB's require a significant amount of maintenance and service compared to standard MTB's.

Keep after it. My rail was a creaky mess. Tracked em down one by one. Dead silent now. Until it starts again

Motor mount brackets were a biggie. Gotta pull motor. No big deal. Main pivot creaked. Abp nut on non drive side loose. Head set regreased Weather stripped battery. That about did it.

Mine was battery not quite aligned. That was one of them anyway. They seem to move all over the bike from time to time

Looks like I have some work to do. I have already regreased the headset/forks. I will check all the bolts and maybe drop the motor next. I did just discover after my last ride that the rear wheel has a wobble, not buckled but actually wobbles so I need to look at that too. Considering how much this bike cost and the fact it's only 3 weeks old is rather disappointing to say the least. It's my first Trek and first EMTB and taking away the fact it's awesome fun to ride, it's actually rather a big disappointment in almost every other area.

The brakes are terrible, make an awful noise when trying to apply light pressure and the front judder (bought a set of Magura MT5's)

Both calipers were loose

Rear wheel was buckled upon delivery (shop paid for repair)

Dropper post kept dropping

Two chunks of paint have come off where the bottom of the rear suspension bolts to the frame (claim lodged with Trek)

I'm close to returning the bike but there's nothing else available and I waited long enough for this one.

Thanks everyone for chiming in. Don't mind bit of wrenching which these bikes seem to require just hope it holds up to my use. Sorry that @IanB-UK has had so many issues. Basic parts supply may not be readily available for months or maybe a year or more.

Finished repacking the headset bearings which did look light on grease. Kind of surprised by how small they were. Was expecting maybe a tapered bearing or something but forget this is an eMTB not a moto. Will see if that fixes it sometime this week?

When I collected mine, I spent a couple of hours in the carpark working on it / adjusting it before riding it home. It has been the same with motorcycles (dealers always have the chain too tight and the rear wheel not aligned).

I had similar creaking on my Scott, turns out it was my seat post dry rubbing. Smashed some grease on it and hey presto!
