An idea for the future, topping up your spare AXS battery on the bike using mudguard/fender mounted solar panels or water bottle cage mounted panels.

As a gadget lover, I purchased a Garmin Edge 840 Solar when it came out to replace my Edge 830.
The 'solar' version cost a bit more than the standard 840, but I thought it sounded like a pretty cool feature.

When I finish my 2 hour ride, it tells me how much battery time it's gained from the solar power. Even on a bright sunny day, I'm lucky if it's 2 or 3 minutes. A nice idea in theory, however a complete waste of time (especially in Scotland!!).
I can get that 2-3 mins time added by plugging it into a USB socket for about a minute.

Simple answer, make sure your batteries are charged before you head out. I've had AXS for 4+ years now and never had a flat battery whilst out on the trail. I have a spare in my pack, and have AXS derailleur / dropper - so have 3 to share. I've never needed to though.
