Sporadic Surrey rides

Walking Bottom rammed when I rode through at 0845 this AM. When I left at 10 there were still vehicles arriving and some parking along the road to the village.

Mad.

Folks thinking of travelling to get here - if you can make it on a weekday you'll probably have a better experience. It's daylight to 10!

yeah, see also the ranger's posts about the jump digging, plus locals worried about people bringing in Covid.

something's going to give sooner or later.

right to roam and ride on the Hurtwood - which was granted before mountain bikes were ever imagined - isn't the same as "we're OK with the place being a free-for-all bike park".

There’s a Surrey Hills EMTB group on Facebook, might be worth a look for more regular group rides (although they’re much fewer since lockdown).
