• Warning!!

Riding a tuned or deristricted EMTB is not a trivial offence and can have serious legal consequences. Also, many manufacturers can detect the use of a tuning device or deristricting method and may decline a repair under warranty if it was modified from the intended original specification. Deristricting EMTB's can also add increased loads for motors and batteries. Riding above the local law limit may reclassify the bike as a low-powered bike, requiring insurance, registration and a number plate.

Be aware of your local country laws. Many laws prohibit use of modified EMTB's. It is your responsibility to check local laws. Ignoring it, has potential implications to trail access, and risk of prosecution in the event of an accident.

Speedbox 3.0B data transfer?

Hey,

Apparently the Speedbox 3.0B can transfer some data to the Speedbox App, and to other apps?

So the question is: can we use it to transfer power and cadence data to StrAva, or better yet to a Garmin device (currently using a Garmin Fenix 6 Pro).

I have zero interest in deristricting my Bosch Gen 4 motor. But I’m very interested in sharing power and cadence data to my Garmin watch!

Does anybody have experience with this Speedbox 3.0B, the Speedbox App, and data transfer to other app/device?

thanks!

I asked Speedbox directly. It’s not possible at the moment to pair the Speedbox 3.0B to a smartwatch or cycling computer.
I told them that I believe some people would love that possibility, and would also like a simple data transfer box (without the derestricting part). They replied they will forward the idea to the tech team :cautious:
