Has anyone had experience of removing the headset cup and bearing from the Spectral On frame?

I have a new cup and bearing to replace the old one which has disintegrated but I'm no sure of the best method to remove the old one.

Any advice welcome!

TIA.

Hello, did u make it? I tried for several hours, removed all the cables, and now I think that this part inside the frame is not replaceable :(((( I don't know what to do now, but its completely awful!

Yes I did get it out. It is replaceable. But you do need a good metal drift and hammer to move it.
Eventually, I took mine to my local mechanic. If it is your own frame, we just don't hit the drift hard enough. We are scared of damaging out frame!

But a good bike mechanic knows that to remove the bearings and cup, you need a lot of force.

You can try soaking the area with 'Plus Gas' fluid. That really helps to penetrate and loosen bolts and tight fitting components.!

Good luck!

I did it like this, but hit a lot, and made no progress. but your words give me the hope :) thanks!
