Hi all new to this. Forum not sure exactly how it works but here goes , I bought a new. Turbo evo gen 4 sworks in may it was unfortunately a lemon I then bought a turbo I Levo gen 4 comp and it was fantastic after we got all the initial bugs sorted but , a month ago there was a power drop as I was pedalling in turbo . All. Of a sudden no power , felt like motor had died , then it caught again so it did this a few times on the way back to the trail head . Took it back to my LBS they got hold of Specialized and the motor was swopped out. Now 2 weeks ago I got My new sworks and I love it butttt
trues bob I was riding in a race and bam power drop again twice in turbo , I then powered down into trail rode conservatively with the cadence (still won the race ) but there’s something defiantly up with the motors and power loss . Took it to my lbs , there got told by Specialized they need to take out the wiring harness and replace it with one that does not run the derailed as well ,so I’m on. SRAM battery now for derailer. Funny thing if u do this there’s actually a visible speed differance in gears been changed with the big Specialized battery and. The SRAMs battery IT ACTUALLY WORKS BETTER WITH THE SMALL BATTERY (that’s a serious issue no?) so the thinking is the cpu is getting confused with where to send power and the motor is taking the knock , its a temporary fix , I WAS SURE TO ENSURE THAT cause one of the buying points is that the battery runs everything and runs it well! Well not so well apparently , I’m the second chap this week that got a new wiring harness at that one store.So. Here’s. My question has anyone else had these issues and is SPECIALIZED International also doing a quick fix bypass instead of rewriting the software Or getting the correct harness in place or fixing the problem properly. I’m in South Africa just for infos sake . This seems to be a problem across the motor range so the 3.1 Specialized 101 nm motor and the SWORKS 111 Nm motor
