Answered Specialized SWAT Conceal Carry MTB Tool

Hello guys,

I have bought a 2019 Specialized Levo and the cap of the SWAT Conceal Carry MTB Tool is stuck and cannot slide . I put a bit of WD40 but without any luck. Could you let me know your opinion how to open it?

Try some very hot water.

Undo the retainer bolt underneath the fork steerer tube, this will release some tension it should pop out, I’d the remove it completely and clean and re grease the whole assembly, then re fit.

Had this problem today and finally got it unstuck, so figured I’d share how. 3 pieces of floss and leather gloves. Wrap floss around, pull up and counterclockwise.
I also sprayed a bit of lubrication (wd40) and tried loosening the retainer bolt, but did not seem to help.
