Why can't Specialized offer both these features on the Gen 4 Levo Motor? I would say that Specialized had better start offering some of the features of the Amflow or they are going to struggle big time. What is the consensus? Can they get it together an offer this? Think they're already doing it? It's a sweet motor, and they can play the game too. It can't be that hard....

I'm sure they are working on it. hopefully next year. Although i would like all the auto shift features to play with, i don't think alot of people are asking for it and i dont think it works well enough for serious mountain biking yet. I think to make it work properly the system will need to be tied to GPS and have angle sensors and maybe a even radar sensors in the front and a direct electrical connection from motor to deraileur for perfect sync. They do say in the manual that the system is set up to recieve signals from a radar sensor and comunicate with AXS.

I don’t want auto shift. I can manage the 2 buttons pretty easy. Even at speed. Adding a radar, gps connectivity and more gizmos, just so I don’t have to ride thoughtfully and think about the trail ahead.
How lazy, unnecessary and futuristic.
I’m sure we will see it shortly after Avinox releases their “Cruise Control” for pedal free riding.

No question it is unnecessary, but although a race has never been won based on shifting, i'm sure it has been lost.
during hard braking, having it shift down at the same time might be helpful. I find i'm often in the wrong gear in those situations where you cant hang on, steer, brake and shift all at the same time.

Hey guys, I have ridden the Amflow with Autoshift and it's really awesome, and really useful and will add plenty of life to your drivetrain. Give it a try, and you'll be convinced that Specialized should be hard at work trying to get it added to the Levo 4!
