Just after starting a ride this week (Kenevo Gen1) my motor started cutting in and out. After a trying a few things like reboot, disconnect and reconnect battery, clean the speed sensor & magnet I noticed that the handlebar remote had stopped working - all was fine for the first 15 minutes of the ride. I disconnected the handlebar remote connector in the downtube where it connects to a lead that goes to the motor. This made a difference and the motor has been running fine ever since with mode changes now done via the buttons on the side of the battery. I'm going to try drying out the remote in case water has found its way into the switch itself after a couple of very wet rides. Cable itself looks fine with no damage. I've ordered a new remote but at £55 they aren't cheap! Does anyone know if/how I can test the remote with a multimeter? Has anyone had a similar problem where they've been able to get the remote working again?

I found a tiny hole in the switch membrane which was probably letting in water. After drying it out, it worked fine and I now have a new remote switch as a spare!
