Hi All ,I have a warranty issue with my Kenevo expert and after calling all the Specialised dealers in Glasgow it seems if you didnt buy bike from them they are not interested in repairing . I was lead to believe that all dealers who sell specialised should take warranty repairs . Dales /Tisos/Evans all either said they are fixing bikes bought from them first or come back in a year chat . Tried contacting specialised direct and await reply .Dealer I bought from in Chester says these dealers should fix my bike as part of the deal they have with specialised. Any help appreciated.

I've just gone through a similar experience, bought the bike online from the Concept Store purely because my LBS couldn't get one. It arrived needing a firmware upgrade, the gears sorting and a few other minor niggles I sorted myself, don't think it had had any sort of pre dispatch check TBH.

I contacted the sellers who in turn identified the local Specialized dealer I was to use and advised they would sort the issues FOC. Got it booked in quite quickly but was charged for the labour - seller reimbursed me but advised LBS should be claiming that back from Specialized direct.

I've just had to go through a warranty claim for the same bike which needed a new battery. LBS have taken care of that FOC but it took a few weeks before they could look at it.

AFAIK it should work like a new car warranty, ie local dealers should honour warranty work regardless but in the present climate they are so busy they are prioritising the bikes they have sold which is understandable. In my case it probably helped that I'm a regular customer who bought another Levo from them.

Hopefully customer care will sort you out but it might be worth getting back in touch with the seller to see if they can generate any local goodwill on your behalf.

Not exactly local to you but my mate got some work done by Alpine bikes at Glentress, no issues and he bought it second hand.

Plain and simple shitty bike shops. Its unfortunate that they out number the good ones.
When it comes down to it, its an ez way to get new customers/sales. All you have to do, as a shop, is to make a phone call and lump the warrantee in with the rest of your warrantee claims and/or shipping back to the company/distributor. Most times it pays off 100x over. I cant think of any other bike service with that profit margin
