Hey guys recently went to a bike shop where I purchased my e bike from to have it serviced but while waiting was asking about specialised bikes cause they are such nice looking bikes and the guy who serviced my bike plus the other guy I think he was a manager said that the specialised bikes are the ones which they have most issues with which surprised me as I know they are such good bikes even though I don't own a specialised myself was looking to get opinions of people who own these bikes and to see if anyone has had any problems with these bikes and if they have had any reliability problems cause in my mind specialised are one of the best bikes out there

Our local dealer who also sell a few Bosch bikes told me they have less issues with Bosch and they were easier to fix even though they were trying to sell me a Levo , they don’t sell shimano or Yamaha so couldn’t comment on that .

I got a Bosch bike myself the Store I had it from is an authorised Bosch dealer so I was thinking there was bias in what they were saying tbh

I have had two levos my wife has one, in the 2016/17 models there was some problems and in my opinion it was down to two things, software and electrical contacts. Couple that with a dealer network who were largely clueless and they adopted the car dealer approach of just keep replacing bits until you get lucky and hit the right part. This was frustrating for the owners but spesh were very good with warrenty problems.
Part of the problem was in my opinion the bike was designed in a climate where they didnt know what proper wet and mud was, bring the bikes to the uk in winter and the weak spots started to show.
Things in 2018 seem much better, my 2018 bike has been faultless and from the bike side of things they all have been brilliant.
And of course a dealer who doesnt sell spesh will always be biased
