Newbie question: after re-fitting my front wheel the disk brake started touching when doing sharp turns. How do I fix this? Thanks in advance!

As a start have you checked that the front axle is tightened to the correct torque?
Also if you use the Forum's Search function (the small magnifying glass symbol at the top right), and search for 'rubbing front rotor' or similar there are quite a few similar threads.

Thanks for the quick reply! The axle is secured with a handle (sorry for bad English) see the picture. It seems to be the correct amount of turns. The other side has a dial that so far is a mystery too me, maybe it can adjust the axle sideways. I'll have to read up on it.

I'll look at the search results, thanks!

Your thru axle lever is not fully closed. It should be about 5mm clear of the fork leg and when fully closed, will lean inwards towards the wheel .....finishing a bout half way across the fork leg. The other side of your thru axle enables you to change the amount of torque it takes to get the lever in correct position with sufficient torque. If it was OK before you removed the wheel it should be OK now. If you need to adjust it, you open the lever, then change the numbered setting.

As a guide, the amount of pressure to close the lever should be sufficient to leave an impression in your finger!!

Even if everything is installed and torqued correctly there can be enough flex in that axle to get the occasional pad rub under hard turning. Not an issue if it does.

My gasgas MXC 6 has threaded axle with pinch bolt (no lever) and under hard turning on pavement I still get slight brake rotor rub occasionally. Just sayin…

I had the exact same issue today, thanks for the info that this is normal. Have never noticed this before (new bike and rotors)
