Sorry my comment triggered so many people. Allow me to rephrase...

My guess is, people care a lot more about their bikes than their phones so IMO it isn't the best comparison..

Better? Lol

In Norway we call it a condom suit.
The users don't like that phrase.

We call the riders wearing them 'grape smugglers' around these parts. That said, Lycra really is ideal for MTBing most of the time.

Much better option for most rides. Droppers were only invented because insecure people wanted to wear baggies, and they kept getting snagged on the saddle.

Interesting thread. The Amflow PL Carbon is my 5th e-bike that I have purchased in a decade of e-biking. It is the first bike that was substantially more powerful than the last bike. Yes, I get that some of you do not access all the power. I live in the Rocky Mountains, 5,000+ foot climbs are commonplace. My previous bikes all slow down significantly on long climbs. Even the Amflow slows down, just not nearly as much.
The Amflow is so much better, that I prefer to ride alone than with my buddy on his Specialized Gen 3. Sure, the bikes are pretty comparable on flat to moderate terrain, but when it gets steep, the Amflow is in a class of its own.

I ordered the base PR last week then got an email saying I could be waiting until the end of the year for it. Cancelled and ordered the PX which I gather will be in stock at the end of the week (y)

What were the reasons for buying the PL Carbon?
Do those reasons still exist?
Do you enjoy riding it?
Do you still like the way it looks?

Personally, I am quite happy with my eBike that is the older model, bought just after the newer models came out (at a heavy discount).
All the reasons I bought it still exist, so I have no buyer's remorse.
There will always be newer, better, faster, cooler. If you liked your purchase at the time of buying, that shouldn't change simply because of a new update.
I just bought a PL carbon pro. It was discounted so kind of different but to make a point: is the new bike that different? It’s not like it’s obsolete tech. It’s just uprated on power which you don’t really need. I’d question what value the new M2 s brings. It’s nice to have I suppose, that’s it. What about the reliability of all the power in a small compact unit - might be a means to sell new bikes that lots of people will be happy to pay for. Just don’t need it 99.9 pc of the time

merino. try some mons royale clothes. i mostly ride in merino boxers these days. way more comfortable when you sweat in them than some cotton ones…
Should try some bawbags, the cool de sac ones are mint. It's all I wear everyday

Mons stuff is super nice but mega pricey in the UK

Really there is a great argument to be made for just buying the one that is on sale and always being a hair behind the latest and greatest. That's what I do with mobile phones for example, and it saves a lot of money, and I don't miss the features I never had.
Also often avoids being a beta tester for new phone software features.
