The regular Focus charger is a big lump and not conducive to easy carrying on longer trips.
I recently met a guy with Raleigh E touring bike with a much smaller charger......so why cant Focus come up with one.
Or are there alternatives??

I was wondering about the same as you but unfortunately there is no alternative :(

These are the best I've seen. Highest quality charger no doubt, most expensive yes, compact but solid as a rock although as heavy as one too - actually ~1kg - not too heavy. For Shimano & many others, 48V XLR to Rosenberger option & the TTL->USB cable is used for connecting the Satiator to your computer's USB port to alter charge profiles. With this it's easy to do a battery saver profile that charges to say 80% at a lower current to extend the longevity of the pack.

Of course it's essential to use the correct voltage in the profile. Many are 42V not 48V.

The Satiator, Programmable Battery Charger

Just thought I'd edit to say this charger may not work with many bikes because they require data back from the charger. This is the case with Specialized & likely many others so NOT RECOMMENDED
