I get it, this is an emtb forum I mean the clues in the name... However I ask you all, if you are like me?
  • Do you like bikes?
  • Do you like all bikes?
  • Do you like riding bikes?
  • Are you comfortable with operating your meat sticks on said bikes?
  • Do you still ride meatbikes?
If so you're in a for a real treat, this thread is dedicated to all of us on this forum who have succumbed to rampant consumerism and have an N+1 or even a full collection of over priced two wheeled dopamine inducing bikes.. BIKES!!! SHOW ME THEM.

Personally, I did have more bikes, but now I've just got the two after relocating. The obligatory eeb and my faithful meatbike which I've owned from new since 2015.
Pics coming shortly.

Rules:
  • No ebikes
  • Currently owned meatbikes only (I don't want this thread to turn into a "this is the Gary Fisher I bought when I was 16 with the money from my paper round and sold a year later in 1995" nostalgia thread)
  • Any meatbikes allowed, gravel, road, trials, XC, DH, Enduro, Trail, Hardtail, retro revivals etc, heck, even if it's one of those wild fold up commuters with scooter wheels post it up if nothing else it will get a laugh!
  • Discussions on posted meatbikes ARE allowed, suspension, bearings, parts sourcing for older meatbikes, geometry etc. Discussion is encouraged.
  • No posting of ebikes with the excuse "technically it's a meatbike because you still pedal" stop trying to be clever and don't derail the thread
Alright, lets goooo!

I don't own an Eeb.

My latest is a throwback to my previously owned bike. Trek Fuel ex9.8. I bought this last weekend after selling a Gen6 Fuel. It's lighter, faster and easier to pedal than the Gen6, but maybe not quite as capable downhill.

There's also the Atherton A200

So this is currently my only meatbike, a 2016 Specialized Enduro Comp that I've owned from new. S4 frame, 650b wheels.
In over 10 years it hasn't needed much beyond new bars after a crash and the usual maintenance. Even the frame bearings are still original.
As sod's law would have it, a week after I bought my eeb in January the Command Post finally packed in. Back in 2015 I was annoyed by its 125mm drop and couldn't justify upgrading to 150mm for an extra 25mm. Fast forward to today and I've got a 200mm dropper ready to fit.
So yes, the saddle appears to be orbiting the Earth in these photos. 😆

the Atherton looks lovely - there's just something cool about lugs - caught between 19th C brazing and 21st C Stereo lithography

Not to be a party pooper but isn't there a "meatbike" section on here already?

I dislike that term a great deal. My "meat sticks" make my ebike go, too...

Scott Metrix 10 Flat Bar road Bike (with Maxxis tyres ;) ) [for sale] - also have a BMX - I'll take a pic later...

A road bike with flat bars, interesting.. What do you use it for?

I am quite tempted by a gravel bike for the days when I'm so mentally cooked from work I can't face proper riding and just get out for a good spin, and for abuse in winter. But then I think I may as well just ride the enduro and get more of a workout lol

I used to use it for the commute to work - about 12 miles
can do bunnies and pop off kerbs and stuff - nicer for my back and a bit more fun than a drop bar
I now use a drop bar giant road ebike - the commute is about twice as far now
not that I've done it for ages - I'm taxiing the missus (and her bike now)
Flat bars are funner
