I think the levo 4 is great emtb, but very expensive for what it is. I would consider it in different circumstances. What mattered to me was actually getting to travel about on different trails and not limited by the weight or size of the bike, so i looked for some of the lightest emtbs i could find for the money used. So i came across a kenevo sl for myself and a levo sl for my wife. the other day she lifted my bike onto a log to cross a stream. Her, old ebike is about the weight of the current levo 4 carbon, and she complained it was heavy.

I couldn't say we would have been able to do the same thing on her previous bike, or my previous bike which was 2x the weight like 80lbs. We also demoed, the Amflow pl carbon and she said the weight was fine for her but still not that great. Gotta listen to the Mrs. !

Lots of upgrades but I love it... except for the new update. Im still not happy with the grinding noises and power dips at high cadence. Im getting use to it and Specialized is working on

Yes, the new firmware update has been terrible. I love the power but the weird noises are ridiculous.

I'm not bothered by the noise but how much faster the battery is drained in the exact same route 10-15%

There's 15% more power compared to what it shipped with so that's expected. Power doesn't come from thin air.

I know but it's still annoying.
The new 700wh and software from Amflow has solved a bit of the problem.

The Levos do look good! Certain angles it’s definitely a really nice bike. Man they also make a 38 fork look like a 36 though.

The new 700wh and software from Amflow has solved a bit of the problem.

Avinox and software are a little sore subject right now from the looks of it. Lots of people having issues with different modes and boost.

It's probably a sort of beta, Levo also had bugs when random ppl got it earlier than the rest.

+1. Zero noise here. I dialed down my power settings so my bike feels like it did pre-update.
the extra power derived from the update is meaningless to me

I didn't mean it was an actual problem. I said it was ridiculous earlier. The bike was silent before the update. Now it screeches, grinds, and makes ticking noises. I have $11k into a bike that sounds worse than my friends cheap $3500 Quietcat ebike. I've had 8 Levos and this one is by far the noisiest. I get a new bike almost every year. Also under quick high cadence the power dips. It's been talked about in reviews a lot. I had mine do it 3-4 times today. It never did it before the update. Not everyone is having all these problems but a lot are.

I’m thinking of maybe getting a second levo 4 , I have the s-works 4 and am thinking of buying a used levo comp to use as donor frame to and motor to build my own spec , would you say the power over the old gen 3 is really noticeable or marginal. I rode my friends gen 3 yesterday while he had ago on mine and was surprised how much difference there was between mine and his , do you feel the same
