Ok I am almost 82 years old and have changed to riding a Cube Reaction Pro 800 because I am no longer strong enough to manage the Scott 720. The bike is set up for both on and Orr road with gravel tyres and I ride on road with Lancaster Women’s Cycling Group and off road with M0tley Crew in Yorkshire. At other times I explore bridleways on my own.
I miss the dual suspension but with Emtb+ can cope with some fairly technical stuff.

Sometimes I ask it myself but you know, only One has the answer. If my opinion matters, I enjoy you being a Cube rider ;)

Good on ya. Around these parts, we like chicks on bikes regardless of age. Wait... can I still say that in 2026? Please don't cancel me. Your next step is to post a picture over in the "Pic of the Day" thread. Party on.

82 and still riding road, off-road, group rides and solo exploring — that’s what matters.

Plenty of people stop long before that. You’ve kept going, adapted when needed, and you’re still out there enjoying it.

That’s the standard 👍

All you old people on bikes. 😘

It only happens to the lucky ones!

Stay safe, and ride those bikes!!!!!

I hope I’m riding at 80 that would be 78 years of riding bikes🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘

Be old, bike.

Best wishes to you crazy, old riders.
Much respect.

Wife was 66 on Monday and I was 79 on Wednesday. We ride our Trek Rails off road together in the South Downs and France. Sometimes I do bike parks. Age is just a number until it's not any more.

Why not would be a better question!

I am a bit younger than you ….but not much! I have asked myself the same question and have to be realistic about our aging and restrictions. Although I feel healthy and fit to ride I think we maybe a bit more vulnerable to injury than younger riders. I have downgraded my rides a bit and ride within my capabilities.
