Should I pull the trigger or let it pass?

Hi Guys,
I'm from the UK, specifically Warrington. Today, I was about to pick up the bike I reserved from one of the local bike shops nearby. The bike was ready as of July 14th, but due to work commitments, I couldn't get to the shop until today. I received confirmation that the bike is prepared for pickup, having been thoroughly inspected and tested.

So, the day finally came. I had a quick look and instantly noticed that the dropper post wasn't up to specs. It should be a 150mm dropper travel instead of the 120mm that was in the bike, and one of the bolt hexes is seized. The LBS agreed to replace the dropper and, of course, change the seized bolt. I was leaving then when I noticed the RD scratches and was too shy to tell them about it. Now, I'm not sure if I will still proceed or look for another EMTB. The bike wasn't advertised as ex-display, so my expectations were high, just as they were the last time I bought a brand-new bike from one of the online bike shops. I'm undecided at the moment, as I do like the bike, and it's likely the last model available in the UK.
Perhaps you Guys can enlighten me on this, as I may be getting carried away and failing to consider my other options.

I would just give them a call , say you noticed there were some scratches and negotiate , if you are happy to from a cosmetic standpoint , or if not ask them to get a replacement bike in, if not possible , time for a refund , what bike is it if you don't mind me asking , if you just leave it , those scratches on your brand new bike will just eat away at you :), I just bought a nearly new electric van and it has some scratches that I did not pick up when I originally bought it as on the day it was raining , but in the sun there was some scratches and swirls , I called the dealership , and they gave me two options , full refund or get the work done and they would pay , as it was minor scratches and swirls , i took the latter , they paid for the work and the van looks as good as new now , although i just reversed into a hedge and put some new ones on it

Thanks for the advice, mooby77; much appreciated. It's the Specialized Kenevo Expert with the coil and triple crown Boxxer fork. I'll ring them tomorrow and see what they will say about it.

Some shoddy workmanship for sure. Weight up between a discount and do you want that shop working on your bike in the future.

It depends how hard you want that particular bike and if its available elsewhere.

Probably not with them anymore, as I usually maintain my bike most of the time. Motor-wise, it will be catered by Specialized, as there is a main dealer nearby. Sadly, they didn't have the Kenevo with them when I went there to shop around.
