Hello everybody, i received my EMTB last week per shipping and set it up like mentioned in the manual, but there was no info about the rear shock. I have no idea how i get it to work, i see no locking switch and the pressure is good (3Bar) but it still isnt suspending.
There is a Warning on the Shock that says: Please make shure that the spring nut has been against the spring before riding.
But i see nothing ovious i can do to adjust anithing.

Thank you for your responses, i hope someone had a similar problem and is able to help me.

What do you mean ? It's collapsing or it's stuck fully extended.

3bar is 43psi. Most shocks are normally double your weight in psi. So if you are 80kgs. You should be about 160psi. So if it's collapsing, you are way under pressure, and you need a shock pump.

BTW ...... Sorry if I've insulted your weight ....... 🤭

Google says that shock looks like a "Shock Passion H5", but can't see any specs for it. Use a shock pump to put air into it until you get about 30% sag. As said above, air pressure PSI typically twice your weight in KG.

@Silas Increase your shock pressure in 4-5 stages. Between each stage, cycle the shock through its travel a few times. Cycling through the travel will get progressively harder, so you will have to use your full weight. This process will ensure that the full air pressure is everywhere inside the shock that it should be.

Alternatively, pressure up until you get the %sag you want, then go ride. When you have finished, reset the shock %sag.

What does this mean?
Are you getting no sag at all? Is it not compressing under force? Is there too much or not enough rebound? 3 bar is nowhere near enough pressure for any shock that I'm familiar with. The shocks on my bikes are generally greater than my weight.

If it's the same as this, albeit larger for an adults bike, then its non adjustable so if it's not moving then perhaps it's broken? I'd be onto the retailer asking if they ship with spacers or something.

Also, with all due respect, its looks like it's towards the "Bicycle Shaped Object" end of the spectrum. Sorry.
