Hi Everyone,

Details from thread title:

I've a rounded Shock Pivot bolt that needs extracting.
I have two spare bolt sets, correct size so that's okay.

I just can't get the bolt out. I don't have a 5/6mm Torx bit, or extractor kit yet.
I was just looking for suggestions for a cheap enough kit to buy from Amazon?

I know some of the extraction kits don't work because the thread is the wrong direction for unscrewing/tightening.

Any suggestions on what to buy, from someone who has bought a kit before, would be great.
The rear Shock bushings are squeaking like a worried Bat. It's embarrassing.
I can fix it myself, just need correct bolt extraction kit.

Thanks :)

Sounds like you know the solution: buy the bolt extractor kit. Next time you run into such a problem you'll have the tools to solve it in less time than it takes to type the question on a forum. You'll also need a variety of drill bits and center punches.

If you're lucky, you can drill out the bolt from the back side. The bolt just might unscrew itself before you get all the way through. It's also nice to have left-hand drill bits for those times when you can not drill from the back side. Sometimes a left-hand bit will extract the bolt before you have to resort to the extractors. Half a dozen left-hand drills will probably get you by for the rest of your life.

Don't buy Chinese or Indian drill bits. They will cause you more grief than the original problem. Seriously. If you already have some, throw them in the trash.

Sorry, English is not my first language. I meant like Politian type reply hehe.
Which means, saying a lot but not answering the question.
It might be my fault for not phrasing the question correctly.

I just wanted to know which Bolt Extraction kit members might have bought,
and which ones work, for mtbs.

I've watched loads of videos on youtube, GMDN Tech too.
I know the theory behind getting the bolt out.
I just want to buy a kit, for now, and if it ever happens again.
Sorry for getting off on the wrong foot.

Regards, :)
