Having ridden a bike with Di2 shifters for a few days I think that they’re fantastic.

Has anyone retro fitted Di2 to an EMTB that’s a non Shimano powered bike? Is it even possible?

The ability to effortlessly shift on technical terrain whilst giving quick squirts of pedal turn to keep up speed is awesome.and I’ve read that you can customise the shifting too to include presets, so if you want to instantly get to gear 2 or 11 or whatever, it’s possible to pre program. Has anyone done this?

I would think you would need to install the normal kit including Di2 battery to get it to work. Also need a special stem I think to house the battery. Even on shimano equipped bikes I think some kind of factory programming is needed to get it to work with the steps battery.
