Shimano “race” software update now available in E-TUBE app

Previously only available from a dealer via computer, Shimano are now advertising on social media that the update is available for ep801 motors via the e-tube app.

This is the update that gives things like extended boost/overrun etc.

The settings can also be changed when not connected to the bike and will update when connected

What app version do you refer? The latest I can download on Apple Store is 5.3.4 and those features are not available.

I’m running 5.3.4.
My bike came preinstalled with the latest firmware as it was a new mid-2024.

My Race FW is gone/disabled/inaccessible after updating to FWv4.4.1
Orbea Rise Ep801 RS-v1

I should clarify that the previous firmware v4.3.2 allowed me to use E-Max and STUnlocker to access the Shimano Race settings exactly as mentioned in the Shimano press releases.

These BlueTooth apps are now blocked by v4.4.1 from applying the Race settings to my EP801 RS v1.

Yeah, I just noticed that. It’s working again, I was able to get it working again before the update. I removed my bike and added it again.
I just got an email from Shimano saying E tube isn’t working on Android devices, I’m on iOS and is working fine
