So well, my Rocky Mountain finally fully died on me, out of the blue. I just had it fully charged the day before, hooked up the Overtime Pack, powered it up (just fine), used the walk assist to change gears. Left the bike for 3 minutes, and when i came back the display was blank and the bike no longer powers up.

Im now trying to figure out what part of the bike got broken. Im traveling at the moment so i cannot go to my local shop. Im in the Chamonix region, France. Im having a hard time finding a knowledgeable service center in this region. If anyone has suggestions?

What i can tell is that the display is probably fine. I have tested with a spare and the results are the same. So it seems to point in the direction of the battery.
Im not sure if this is the appropriate behavior, but when i measure the battery contacts i measure no voltage at all. Maybe that is correct, i dont know?

Anyway id like to test with another battery, so if anyone has suggestions, please let me know!

A very very big shout out to Tribe Sport Group, the local importer of Rocky Mountain bikes here in France. And especially Fabien, who helped me get this problem diagnosed and fixed. If you are reading this Fabien, thank you again for helping me out!

Even though i did not originally purchase the bike in France, and the warranty was expired by 2 months, they still helped me get new parts to solve the issue and get my bike back up and running. So now i get to enjoy the Rocky Mountain all summer here in the French Alps. That is amazing service if you ask me!

So, turns out that it was the display that caused the problem. It seems to have shorted out the power line, or started to draw too much current. That then also killed the motor controller. The battery was still fine however.
So both the motor controller and display needed to be replaced.

Anyway, im very happy now!
