When I rotate crank on first turn it feels seized. When I press through the seize the crank runs smoothly.
I have taken rear wheel off so nothing to do with mech.
It only does it if left over night and used next day.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Sounds like crank bearings! How many miles have you done ?

Have removed the crank at all? Over tightening it can cause the crank to catch on the lock ring, bearing in mind the sprocket / lock ring rotate twice for each rotation of the crank.
check for a gap between the crank and lock ring, should be at least 1mm.

not enough gap

I have handed it to the bike shop and they will advise me on what to do. Hope it's not expensive.
