I have the Rail 7 and find the seat post doesn't retract at times unless I push it straight down.
Has anyone found a good lube for a solution? My guess is it must not have enough inside support fully extended. I have sram butter, all sorts of greases and oils, chain lube etc.
It gets annoying when it won't drop unless I wiggle around just before a more techie section.

Mine will not go down if I don’t move my weight forward on the seat. Even if I try to lower it by hand I need to push in the center or front for it to go down.

It may be because your seat post clamp is too tight and squeezing the internals. Try using one of the carbon fibre assembly paste products, like this one for example.

Buy the small one as you don't need a lot and not very often. It is a gel that is full of crumbly lumps which increase friction and therefore you don't need the clamp to be as tight. It is designed for clamping anything to carbon fibre components (like handlebars for ex), but it works just fine on droppers.

And if you are not squeezing the internals quite so much, the dropper will last longer! :)
