Hello ,

Is it possible to replace the motor of Scott Lumen eBike 900 SL / 2025 bike, which now has a TQ50 motor... replace the motor with a new TQ60 and of course also the display?

Will it fit inside the frame ??

Greetings to all

Someone on the Trek Fuel EXe did it, but not sure if it would work on the Lumen. His motor cover had to be modified to work due to the new cooling fins.

I replaced the hpr50 on my fuel exe with the hpr60 motor, but I kept the original display.

The new motor has extra cooling fins, so with the fuel exe you either have to modify the plastic motor cover to allow the fins to protrude through the cover, or remove the fins from the motor. I'm not sure how the cover on the Scott is, so not sure if you would need to do anything extra.

It all works fine, but you need the dealer software and the service dongle to activate the motor before you can use it.

Because the motor is being fitted into a bike that originally had the hpr50 motor, you don't get 350w of power like the native hpr60 bike do, you get 300w max power, but you do get the full 60nm of torque.
