I just want to know if a 180mm fork works on the Levo mate. How it rides and affects geometry.

I’ve put a 2019 180mm rc2 lyrik on my 2018 Levo and it rides sweet. I’m an aggressive rider and weigh just shy of 100kg kitted up. I’ve got 2 tokens installed. The handling is sharp and responsive and overall I’m really really impressed with them ??

Cool the reason im looking into more travel is for bike parks/aggressive stuff.
I assume its now more aggressive with a slacker front end ?
Does it still pedal ok ?

Yeah dude that’s pretty much why I upgraded because of my aggressive riding style. I’ve not noticed anything negative from upgrading at all.
Just to add I’ve got a coil shock on the rear too ??

Mint what shock did you go for as i was looking at upgrading that at the same time ?

I have a 160mm fitted, and I find it does very well especially with flip ship set to high. Better ground clearance so less pedal strikes.

Did you go 51mm off set or 42mm ?

Lyric ultimate rc2 160mm 51mm offset. Pluuuuuushhhhhh.

I'm also considering upgrading my TL Comp 2020 fork with Lyrik Ultimate 160mm travel fork but did not like the red color (my bike is matte black), is this a new black model (2020?) of Lyrik Ultimates? Any good deals on them right now?

Damn, you're not helping to save my money :ROFLMAO:

I’ve got a Lyric Ultimate 29/180 on my 2019 Kenevo. Buttery smooth and just so so good. Nicest fork I’ve ever ridden.

Hi guys,
Sorry to hijack the thread but I’ve just put my Lyric ultimate’s up for sale in the for sale section in anyone is looking for a set?
Thanks,
Matt

Any idea why 180mm travel Lyrik Ultimate is much cheaper than 160mm or am I missing something? Always thought longer the travel the higher the price ...
A 160mm Lyrik sells faster than a 180mm Lyrik, because a 180mm fork isn't as common as a 160mm. So maybe this why some places are selling below the 160mm Lyrik.
Personally I think 180mm is overkill on the front of the Levo, after 170mm it's like riding a chopper

160 ultimate

One thing that really surprised me when I went back to the Levo from a Kenevo was how capable a 150mm travel bike with 29s is when compared to a 180mm travel bike with 27.5 wheels.
There have only been a handful of places where I missed the Kenevo. So now after going with a 170mm fork and 160mm travel on the rear of my Levo, I ride eveything I did on my Kenevo, while rolling faster and with better battery range. My new Kenevo will be pretty much just be my park bike, which is why I went with the comp. I won't need the 700wh battery at the bike park and I am changing out all of the suspension components anyway

I am considering Levo Comp 2020 vs Kenevo Comp 2020. My ride time is 60% trail 30% technical descend and 10% bike park. But the latest 2 types are my favorite. Based on your experience I will incline more to the Levo, with potential upgrades on suspensions.

I vote +1 to the Kenevo. It’ll get you everywhere the Levo will with the added advantage of destroying the Downhill hill sections. I am however much more gravity focused but I do ride in all directions and many different trails. So far I haven’t found the heft of a Kenevo an issue.
However if weight was your issue then you’d be looking at an sworks Levo or the new Levo Sl.

Yes they are the new 2020 forks, with the 2.1 damper. Price there once converted to GBP seems good already!
About a week back this same site started with even better deal on Lyrik Ultimate forks so I have pulled the plug, bought ones with 160mm travel ... Yesterday I have put them on a bike and today I made first 40kms. First impressions are very mixed, I expected very (or at least some) noticable difference in comparision to basic Lyrik Select forks with 150mm travel (on which I made last approx. 1500km), but as much as I want to find these differences I can really hardly tell I'm riding a new and better fork which supose to be top of the line. I also played with HSC and LSC dials, for example I rode same trails twice, first with HSC fully open and then fully closed, unfortunatelly I haven't felt much of a difference either. Also the charger 2.1 knob feels much cheaper/flimzy with noticable more freeplay compared to knob on Lyrik Select which has basic RC. Kinda dissapointed in this upgrade :cautious: Or were my expectations to high?

were my expectations to high?
Yes. Probably. Each incarnation of the current Lyrik (ie. not the old coil ones of yester year) has only been tweaked slightly (Damper/air spring/seal friction). whether you notice the differences is going to be down to your own knowledge of suspesnion set-up and also how you ride as much as it is the forks (subtle) differences. But be aware, even then you may well prefer the traits of one of the previous Lyrik's dampers/air springs. (I do)
I'd suggest a lower service from (relatively) new. and also to disgard all your previous settings when setting up the new fork.
