Rockguardz for Cube Ebike

Has anyone got experience of the Rockguardz guard plate?
It seems like a good idea but it only attachs (as does the standard one) to the two motor cover plates, so I'm wondering if it will just cause those to break instead?

Mine has taken some monster hits.. welsh rocks.. my standard cracked being done up!!
i cannot rated it highly enough
