rise bike damage shipping

new rise showed up with some minor ish damage on downtube H30 model

send it back or take $100 store credit they are offering if I dont send it back for exchange

seems like it is down to bare metal about size of fingertip

they more stock on their site and I am leaning towards getting a replacement. $100 dollars seems low to have to repair this myself and keep it from spreading.

I would exchange it. You already spent the money (the hard part) and now the excitement of getting a new bike is tarnished. You can't do much with $100.

$100? I wouldn't even begin to hesitate to send it back for that amount. Is that a carbon frame? The amount they give you to keep it has to be enough to stop the amount you'd be pissed off every time you see it. Minimum of $500...and even then I would consider sending it back.

If the next one is damaged then send it back. That will undoubtedly focus their minds on sending you a pristine new bike which you have paid for.

I would definitely return it. That mark on the frame devalues the bike more than the 100 they are offering you.

Besides, it is not a superficial mark. It is very deep.
