Riding Orbea w Bosch motor in rain

Good afternoon everyone. I’m going on a long ride on asphalt this coming Sunday. Weather forecast is possible storms and rain.Do I need to worry about this? Would wrapping battery with plastic shrink wrap and covering other ports be helpful?

Your bike is designed to be able to handle rain and mud. Enjoy your ride and don't worry about the weather. Just make sure your bike is dry after.

Water enters the motor through the crankshaft seals; provided you don't ride through deep water or point a hose directly at the cranks you should be fine.

Yeah I just ride like normal. The bikes are designed to be able to cope with bad weather with no issues. I think wrapping anything would be more likely to cause issues as it would possibly stop any water that does get in from draining back out. As stated above don't ride through deep water or spray a hose directly at the motor area and you'll be totally fine.

For context I commute to work on my ebike most days and live in Scotland. I've ridden through some very wet days with no issues at all
