The main pivot on my decoy (I think) has developed an awful annoying creak. Process of elimination as I popped out and greased all the others but I can't get that one out.
I removed the cone and the pivot spins and appears to be backing out with the head protruding slightly from the frame, then it starts to feel a little tighter and then there's a subtle "clunk" and it kinda pops back into the frame again, rinse and repeat.
I've tried giving it a few both gentle and not so gentle taps with a rubber hammer on the end of a screwdriver shoved down inside the pivot whilst undoing it and that made no difference.
Any suggestions from anyone?

Reply to myself,
Well repeated attempts to remove the pivot have now resulted in it now being impossible to tighten up.
I started trying to lever the right hand side while undoing the pivot to gain more tension on the bolt but that didn't work.
It just would not come out. I have no idea if I did it or YT when they rebuilt it with the new main frame but I think I can say it's now buggered.
It won't knock out or move through beyond 4 or 5 visible pitches of the thread. Then it just spins at that point or if I give something a tap it pops back to pretty much where it started. It's wedged in good and tight locking it all together and I can't see a way to get it apart without irreparable damage to something.
Nuts.
