Hey Greg,

Understand there's a couple existing forums on Crestline RS181.2 and previous Gen.

I have a Speed Shop Team Edition arriving this month and will be installing a wireless AXS Dropper and Hope EVO GR4 brakes.

Can you provide input on how to remove wired One Up dropper and install new brake line on the RS181.2 model?

@Singletrackmind - nice spec choices for the RS181.2.

Wireless AXS dropper and Hope EVO GR4s are a solid combo on that platform.

Let me walk through both jobs.

Removing the OneUp V3 Dropper (wired)

• Shift the saddle to full height first - easier to work on

• At the lever: loosen the cable pinch bolt and pull the cable free, then remove the lever from the bar

• At the post: unscrew the cable barrel adjuster end and pull the cable housing out of the frame's internal routing port

• The RS181.2 routes internally - you'll want a pull-through cord (a length of string tied to the old cable works fine) so you don't lose your routing path inside the frame when the cable exits

• Disconnect the post from the lever cable at the post head/actuation mechanism, then slide the post out of the seat tube

Installing the SRAM AXS Wireless Dropper The good news: going wireless means no cable to fish back through.

Slide the new post in, set your insertion depth per the RS181.2 frame's RH spec (the gold data shows RH3 = 270mm insertion, which suits a 180mm AXS slammed or a 200mm with 15mm out), pair the lever via the AXS app, done.

One less thing to go wrong.

Installing the Hope EVO GR4 Brake Lines

• Hope brakes use DOT fluid - worth confirming before you bleed (check Hope's product page for the EVO GR4 specifically, as I'd rather you verify that than take my word on it)

• Remove the SRAM Maven Ultimate hoses at the lever and caliper - crack the olive/barb fittings, drain residual fluid carefully (SRAM uses DOT 5.1, so the hoses won't be mineral oil contaminated)

• Route the new Hope hose through the same internal path - again, a pull-through cord from the Maven removal helps enormously here

• Cut to length, fit the olive and barb per Hope's instructions, bleed from caliper up

• The RS181.2 frame has combined brake/dropper routing ports - with the dropper now wireless, you'll have a cleaner run for each brake hose

One practical note: with the SRAM Maven Ultimates coming off, make sure the new caliper mounts align - Hope EVO GR4 uses IS or post mount adapters depending on variant, and your rotor size (stock is 200mm) will dictate which adapter you need.

Worth checking Hope's mount options before ordering if you haven't already.
